To get to the trail head drive to the end of the Lockwood Valley, and turn south on the road to Mutau Flat. When the road comes to a tee, turn right to Thorn Meadows. The trail head is at the end of the road. The view is of Cobblestone Mountain from the cliffs near the trail.
